lol, loved this. Though I’d be afraid to count my annual bottles of wine! And love the Batman Jar.
Yeah, that was an estimate. Might have been on the light side.
Happy Blogiversary darlin’ sister. <3 That was one slow freaking fast year.
I know exactly what you mean. When I looked back I couldn’t believe all that happened in the past 12 months. Some of it feels so four years ago
xo.
Ya, that’s it… so four years ago.
Congratulations on one full year!
thank you Joe! It’s gone fast, and yet I feel like I’ve been doing it (and have known great folks like you) forever.
This, of course, is great news! A year!?! Yikes!! I’ve been a crappy blog reader as of lately, because though I’m familiar with a few of your published articles, I didn’t realize it was NINETEEN of them. Good job, Julie! Keep it up. I love your recap of the year; simple, eloquent, funny and entertaining. My favorites? “Eight pounds gained” and “134 bottles of wine.” Boy, I hear ya!
I think the 8 pounds comes from a year of sitting on my butt in front of a computer. I gave up exercise for writing
But I didn’t give up wine.
Happy Blogaversary!!! We have writing, wine, and eight extra pounds in common, which are all mostly good things. I’ve been blogging for just about eight years, now, though, and can’t remember the date I started. Weird, that. After awhile it gets to be like breathing, I think
Hi Desi, thanks for stopping by. I think we also have being Canadian in common. I admit I’ve visited your blog but not commented. You intimidate the crap out of me, lady. You are so talented and so prolific!
We DO have being Canadian in common! *fist bump* Which means I cannot possibly be intimidating. I mean, seriously, who has ever heard of an intimidating Canadian?
I’ve lurked here before, too, and have always enjoyed the visit. Thanks, eh? =D
Margaret Atwood. She’s intimidating. Or maybe just a bit scary. And you’re welcome. Glad you’ve been lurking.
Woohoo! Well done! And that is so not enough wine.:)
I knew there was a reason we clicked. Well, lots of reasons. We must share a bottle or two one day
♥
Way to go Julie, thanks for all of the entertaining blogs. Looking forward to another great year of them from you.
Thank you Linda! Hoping to be a little more consistent – starting in March…
Congrats, that does make a pretty full year! Here’s to many more of the same (without the shitstorm and the extra poundage). Cheers!
Thanks Megan. Maybe next anniversary I can say I doffed the chub and avoided shitstorms. That would be a good year indeed.
